Super Mario Brothers TV show from the 80's (weird to say the least)

Apparently, Mario had a TV show in the 80's. This show features some animated segments and some truly surreal portions featuring Captain Lou Albano as Mario. Words cannot describe the weirdness of this. Perhaps this is where they got the idea for the godawful movie
